Current mood: excited!! So far, the month of May has been lovely and filled with family time, home-cooked meals, and rest. And I’m already looking forward to the wonderful things coming up over the next few weeks— the long weekend, yoga classes, work

  • Hey! This is gorgeous! Mind me asking about where you put your feet...or rather whether it's safer to flex your feet or not in Gomukhasana? We're often taught, like in pigeon, to flex the foot to protect the knee...but that somehow doesn't feel right to me. And have you seen how Ashtangis do it?

  • @fierce_calm interesting question! I’m not expert but I think if there’s any pain/discomfort in the knees, then flexing of the feet is a good idea. I think it’s probably more stabilizing for the knee and hip joints to flex the feet in this pose—but I don’t always flex my feet myself. As always, I think it depends on each person’s body.

  • @essentialwellnessottawa 6 weeks is cells. It’s not a fetus. It should be called the pulsing cell bill. Plus you don’t know anyone else’s life or what’s happening to them.

  • @tmlh44 at what stage does it become a life that you value? At what stage is it wrong for a mother to kill her child? We don’t know “others lives” but we still say they can’t kill their 3 day old. What if it was harder than they thought? What if their partner leaves after the baby is born or they lose their job? Can they kill their children or does society say it’s wrong ? We say it’s wrong. What’s the difference? They are not fully developed as an infant toddler or child either but we still say your personal circumstances doesn’t give you the right to kill. Do you believe that abortion is ok if the baby can be delivered by csection? When is it not ok in your books? Suicide is legal why do we go out of our way to stop suicide when it’s legal and “their body”? Because we value human life is why. Lots of those people have way more dire circumstances and we try and stop them and help them.
